Created at El Floridita in Havana for Ernest Hemingway, who disliked sweetness in his Daiquiris. He reportedly drank 16–20 of these in one sitting.
Ingredients
- white rum 2 oz
- grapefruit juice 0.75 oz
- lime juice 0.5 oz
- maraschino liqueur 0.5 oz
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel (no sugar added – Hemingway preferred it dry).
